Ziva, on the morning of her wedding by TinkerMeThis Ziva, on the morning of her wedding by TinkerMeThis
More Ziva being just insanely pretty. :) So yeah, I looked at this season nine promo shot one day and found that it's one of my favorite images of her and that it certainly made for a nice drawing base, just not with the silly coverall they put her into. And thus, this idea was born. ;)

Materials used: sketchpad 9x12 inches/24x34 cm (110g/sqm), 3 different pencils (0.35 mm mechanical pencil filled with B leads for the outline, fine detail and texture of her hair, 2B for general shadowing/rendering, 8B for the really dark shadows), 1 pure graphite pencil (9B, for the almost-blacks), 3 different erasers (regular soft one, kneadable eraser for subtle value adjustment, Tombow Mono Zero 2mm eraser for fine details), 1 really thin and 1 medium paper stump blender, one tiny tortillion for texturing the flower. I didn't count the actual hours spent on this one, since I had to go back and correct stuff so many times (curse her for not wanting to look like herself!) but all in all it took two weeks until it was finished. Minor cleanup was done in Photoshop.

Please don’t repost this to other sites (linking is quite fine, though) or claim as your own or remove my tag. Thank you, and I hope you enjoy.

I lost track of the actual hours soon - most of it was spent on reworking and going over it again and again because she just didn't want to look like herself. ;) All in all I was busy with it for about two weeks. The other one (baby!Ziva) took about 35 hours - this one ate much more time...

I hope it was worth it. :P
She's beautiful and looks like herself now, so obviously it was time well spent!

Thank you. ♥ Yes, it was worth it. I put some in-progress pictures into my scrapbook last night, so if you like, you can compare. ;)

On a profile page, there's a link to the gallery, it's a sub-part of that. Let's try out if html works here - if it does, this should be the direct link.
